Our first collaborative project, the HSC opened its doors in 2000 and now houses academic departments, research labs, and student classes for UW-La Crosse, Western Technical College, and Gundersen Lutheran.
Changing the Culture of Risky Drinking Behavior
A partnership with the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Injury Research Center, Coulee Council on Addictions, CESA #4, and the La Crosse County Health Department to reduce alcohol-related injury among 12-24 year-olds in La Crosse County
Online Clinical Placement of Nursing Students

A collaboration with Winona State University, the Healthcare-Education Industry Partnership (HEIP), and HealthForce Minnesota to create an online system for placing nursing students in clinical sites throughout our service area.
We have just completed development of an online curriculum to help healthcare workers improve their competencies working with patients and others from different cultures. Modules are provided in PDF format but can also be requested in PPT format for use with your organization's online Learning Management System. This resource page also provides a list of books and other materials that are useful to those developing their own cultural competency skills.
